Motorcycle Rights Organization of the Philippines (MRO) Application Form

I recently applied for Motorcycle Rights Organization of the Philippines (MRO) membership as they might embody the cause I was hoping to participate in. As a sign of goodwill and polite gesture, I would like to make their application form downloadable from my website as well - and I hope the owner of this document would not mind this potential copyright atrocity. In any case, they (and only they) may file their abuse complaints to trashedsuggestionbox(at)loloyd.com.

This document was originally posted and published at RapidShare http://rapidshare.com/files/155985865/Membership_Application.doc.html. Although I am not exactly against this move, I can only comment that RapidShare is oftentimes associated with great things and not so good things, which may make it inappropriate for organizational matters like application forms. :) This is just my 2 cents worth of opinion. And now, I'm 2 cents short.

People might want to choose from a .DOC (362 Kb) or a .ZIP (246 Kb) download so I made both available.

So what's MRO all about? In summary, this forum entry posted by user click_me from the MCP forums at http://www.motorcyclephilippines.com/forums/showthread.php?t=146261 sums it well:

MRO or the Motorcycle Rights Organization was built to face off with the legislatures that are deemed discriminatory and prejudicial to motorcycle riders and their machines...

One of the examples of this is the AO that aimed to outlaw modifications, apply standards that are highly irregular, and implement standards that are questionable... We did all that we can in studying and learning everything in order to get the major grey areas of the AO suspended...

We also plan to tackle other legislative issues such as unfair ordinances and bills that is anti-motorcycle...

Besides legal matters, the MRO will also focus on equality for all motorcyclists... A good example of this is the application of parking fees that is very exorbitant... We also aim to submit a public inquiry on road works that cause accidents due to the lack of warning devices...

Projects that the MRO plans to do is to create a handbook that guides the rider about his legal rights... This is part of the re-education program that we are going to offer to clubs and associations all over the country...

We also have plans of doing a Biker Woodstock sometime next year that will be a huge event...

We also plan to revive the MAP Toy Run on December in partnership with RFAC...

The agendas and mandates of the MRO aims to provide every rider the empowerment they need to protect their rights...

I hope I have explained it as well as I should...

Thank you for your interest in MRO...
